Hello, my name is Mike van Putten. I love creating design, art and film that is accessible and unique!
I studied Communication & Media Design at HAN University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands and I specialized in experience design and branding. My goal is to design brands that matter and create experiences that are remembered. With my work I want to transport people into another world. So embedding my work with feeling, a message, and excitement is very important.
There is nothing that I love more than being creative. I started out messing about in Paint. When I was 10 I started recording and editing my own videos. I even did my own visual effects in After Effects! When it was time to publish my videos online I thought “Why not create my own website?”, so I did. With that I learned the importance of user-friendly interfaces. In the future I hope to share many more experiences and stories.

When I was 10 years old I started making my own videos. Ever since then I greatly enjoy editing, writing, filming, voice acting and sound design. I create short films, trailers, wedding videos, commercials and more.
Creating works that people will actually use is great. Not only do people touch and navigate through my designs, It’s also a fun goal to make it easy and worthwhile to do those things. And that is why I think my websites are great: fast, easy to use, to the point and fun!
Everything I create is about what you feel and experience, that's what these works are all about. Whether it's a game, a story or just sound, you will definitely be immersed in another world.
Photoshop version 7 kick-started my design journey. Today I still use Photoshop daily, alongside Illustrator and InDesign. To me a perfect design is modular, accessible, and fun to look at. For me inspiration is important, so I’m alert and always on the lookout for cool images and designs.
I like capturing important moments and messing with cameras and lenses. But what I love most about photography is making things look nice. Sometimes nicer than in real life! I take pictures of people, food, events, buildings, landscapes, and clouds. I especially like clouds.
